Every year, our European Union E-commerce in Europe In association with European Trade, European E-Commerce Market Report. This report provides comparable figures on the evolution of the European e-commerce market as well as an analysis of national markets, including the French one.
In 2021, European e-commerce will grow by 13% to reach €718 billion. The growth rate remained stable, although it increased slightly compared to 2020. B2C turnover shows that e-commerce continues to grow even though restrictions are ending and consumers are returning to physical stores.
Western Europe remains the leader in terms of the share of B2C e-commerce sales in Europe, accounting for 63% of the total turnover. While Northern Europe is still some distance away in terms of share of total European sales (9%), the sector is stable there with over 4% of GDP attributable to e-commerce.

Despite the lifting of measures related to the Covid-19 epidemic, and the UK’s exit from the European single market, the volume of e-commerce by 16% in 2021. 90% of the population uses the Internet and a share of It is assumed that netizens who purchase online will reach 76% in 2022, an additional 2% compared to 2021.
European e-commerce continues to grow but new global challenges are emerging

At the same time, e-commerce for services (transportation, tourism and entertainment) witnessed a steady recovery during 2021.
