Sunday public support for the nuns of Cordemois Abbey. As a reminder, the nuns are required to leave the premises by December 3 based on the decision of the Cistercian Order. A decision they consider unfair and will not respect has already been announced.
Mass was organized yesterday morning Sunday, hoping that they would stay in Cordemoa. About 150 people from local associations attended, the mayor of Bouillon, Patrick Adam, as well as the nuns’ lawyers. The lawyer who works at the expense of the sisters inside the convent:
“They are protected by a decree that allows them to continue in their place of residence, until March for sure. Then I hope to find a reasonable solution to review the file.
The Order has made a final decision that appears to be final to the Order, but the Pope has the final say. The reason is punishment, but we do not yet have proofs of this disobedience. In fact, it is a legitimate resistance, and a grave injustice, and I am currently collecting documents and files, and I have many documents from the religious world that has known this monastery for 40 years. And everyone was very surprised by this way of working. “
