Shares of Linde PLC (ETR:) rose to an all-time high, rising 1.08%, or 3.50 points, to a price of 326.25.
The index, which measures the implied volatility of options on the DAX index, lost 0.32%, to 21.96.
On the other hand, gold for December delivery rose 0.32%, or 5.65 points, to reach $1.00 an ounce. In terms of other commodities, the price of crude oil for delivery in January increased by 0.55%, or 0.44 points, from a price of $80.48 a barrel, while Brent crude for delivery in January rose by 0.73%, or 0.64 points, to a price of $88.09 a barrel.
The EUR/USD pair remained unchanged by 0.25%, at 1.03, while the EUR/GBP was down 0.06%, at 0.87.
The US Dollar Index fell 0.25% to 107.46.
