The NGO Limaniya officially launched its activities in favor of the disadvantaged population on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the Aghien-Cocody Mosque.
According to a media note transmitted on Monday to Abidjan.net, this ceremony was held by two conferences conducted by Imam Muhammad Fofana, Murshid of the Mami Adjuwa Mosque in Yopougon and Sheikh Muhammad Anta.
The first called on women to establish good morals in society on a daily basis and to expand the range of gifts to non-Muslims. Sheikh Muhammad Anta spoke on the topic: “The status of women in Islam and the importance of charity,” according to the note.
According to the document, Cheïck Mohamed Anta urged women to set an example in their families, believing that “the core values of Islam are based on self-sacrifice and exemplary behavior at all levels.”
For her part, Aminata Touré, chairwoman of the NGO Limaniya, urged her sisters to gather for Muslim leadership to always cultivate love and altruism.
Moreover, she announced that she intends to draw up an action plan aimed at helping the poor.
During this activity, in-kind and cash donations were made to benefit the underprivileged population.
