Interpretation: Awards for Luc Picard and Sandrine Bisson
Luc Picard, who breaks the screen in Noovo’s suspense Aller simple, triumphed with the award for Best Male Lead: Dramatic Series. The equally talented Sandrine Bisson acquired the same statuette, female component, for Le temps des raspberries, a series available from Club illico. Sylvain Marcel (“Virage”) and Karelle Tremblay (“Reasonable Doubt”) received a trophy for the supporting roles.
Guy Jodoin – in sunglasses – snagged the award for Best Male Lead: Annual Drama Series for Alerts and spoke about Perseverance, he who is best known for his comedies. Marina Orsini can be comforted for the ending of her Another Story series, as her peers have given her the same twin in women.
Same balm also for Sébastien Diaz and Bianca Gervais, who add on their mantelpiece the statuette of the best animation: service magazines for the “family format”, whose eighth season will have been the last on Télé-Québec. With warm applause, moderator Pierre Bruneau presented the trophy to the couple as “information legend”.
Finally, in terms of animation, the popular France Beaudoin was recognized for her work on Live from the universe – an event also recognized with the Audience Award – Jean-René Dufort for Infoman 2021 and Pierre-Yves Lord for the game “100 Geniuses”.
A “biting” Vero
Hostess Véronique Cloutier offered a “scandalissimo” opening number, arriving without a smile and trying to be more scathing in case it was her last gala… Guy Jodoin interrupted her on stage by pointing out that the opening was “beige ” sei … Véro returned to naturalness and offered a choreography that shows that television flickers on all platforms, supported by the voice of the big winner of “Canada’s Got Talent”, Jeanick Fournier. Among the strange moments of the evening was the unexpected intervention on stage by Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge, who spoke about the importance of the vote…
“My two years at La Tour are coming to an end. […] I especially want to thank my permanent team behind all my projects, Nathan Jean-Huard, Jessie Huard and Anik Jean. “The adventure ‘Audrey is back’ is an incredible adventure. […] Josée Deschênes is a creature of generosity and unconditional love, she is the person who keeps playing after we say cut. Josée it was such a pleasure to play this with you it was a pleasure to have a mother even if it was just for a role you are warm i love you you are brilliant i share this award with you you,” she told Florence Longpré, celebrated for her acting and her lyrics to “Audrey is Back,” written with Guillaume Lambert.
“Any actor will tell you that with a good line, 50% of the ‘work’ is done, so thank you Florence Longpré and Guillaume Lambert. After that it needs someone who is able to put the writing on the screen, that’s Guillaume Lenorgan. You took me into emotional territory that I never explored. You’re stuck with me for the rest of your life!” said Denis Bouchard for his award for Male Lead: Comedy.
Bianca Gervais and Sebastian Diaz
“Liv and Bowie, at home, this show would never have happened without you,” says Sébastien Diaz, Bianca Gervais adds: “You are our muses!” The couple won the award for Best Animation: Service Magazines for “Family Format”, which was eliminated after eight seasons on Télé-Québec.
“This is a big surprise, we’re so proud of this series,” said Anne Boyer, producer of Nous, a series that won Best Drama Series of the Year.
“When I read that, I liquefied. Sometimes I reread to feel business [le scénario]. It cost me a box of Kleenex. […] It was a tailor-made character for me,” said Sylvain Marcel, who was credited for his performance in Virage.
“This is an award that belongs to the whole Live from the Universe team. […] I would also like to share it with my extended family who came up with this concept,” said the host, accepting the award for Best Animation: Variety Series or Special. At the very end of the gala, “Live from the Universe” received the Prix Gémeaux du public Fonds Cogeco.
