Details of his many demands were previously mentioned in the documentary Serving the Royals: Inside the Firm and have come to light since he became king.

One of his former employees, Paul Burrell, who served as butler to Queen Elizabeth and Princess Diana, has revealed the specific instructions staff are given to look after him: from ironing his shoelaces to putting toothpaste on her toothbrush.

The ex-butler claims to have “done anything for him”.

“His pajamas are pressed every morning, his shoelaces are flattened with an iron, the tub plug has to be in a certain position, and the water temperature in a half-filled tub has to be perfectly lukewarm,” said Mr. Burrell.

King Charles III goes so far that his servants squeeze an inch of toothpaste onto his toothbrush every morning.

The morning routine continues with her breakfast.

“He has fresh homemade bread, a bowl of fresh fruit and fresh juices,” chef Graham Newbould, a former royal employee, told the New York Post.

“Wherever the prince goes in the world, the breakfast box accompanies him. He’s got six different honeys, special cereals, his dried fruit and anything that’s a little special that he’s a little picky about.”

He also insists his cheese and biscuits be reheated to a certain temperature at the end of meals and asks his staff to keep a heating tray nearby, another worker told British media.

The king even brought his own toilet seat with him on his travels, as well as Kleenex Velvet toilet paper wherever he went.
