The novelty

Like chicken heads

Like chicken heads

The goose that lays golden eggs is no longer the only poultry on the air! Signed Pierre-Yves Bernard (In a galaxy near you, midnight at night), this new youth daily, aimed primarily at 9 to 12-year-olds, paints a portrait of the Babin-Bibeaus, an imperfect but close-knit family consisting of a musician father (David Savard), a lawyer raised on a mother goes back to school to be a carpenter (Mélanie Pilon) and her three children: Victoria (Estelle Fournier), a slightly shallow teenager who enjoys drama, Félix (Tristan Clouâtre), a responsible boy who hides a frosty side, and Flavie (Élia St-Pierre), the youngest with a big heart. It’s charming, funny and full of real feelings.

Télé-Québec, Monday through Thursday at 6:30 p.m

The surprise

More than 30 years after the theatrical release of the first part of Chucky’s adventures, the cult franchise of horror films is being adapted into a TV series. And against all odds, we succeeded! Written and directed by Don Mancini, creator of the devilish character, this eight-part first season, which aired in English on Showcase last fall, takes us into the heart of the everyday life of a lonely, bullied teenager who discovers the famous doll for sale in a garage . This purchase will obviously set off a wave of murders that will send the neighborhood into a panic. It’s twisted, funny, terrifying and comprehensive. And good news: A second season has been ordered.
