Raped and possibly pregnant, she sees her father suspected of the worst

After a rape incident on a Greek beach, the victim, Tammi Forsythe, has unfairly turned local police suspicions on her father.

On Saturday June 9, Tammi Forsythe, a 33-year-old British holidaymaker, was raped on a deserted beach in Malia, Greece. When she went to the police station to file a complaint, the mother of the family claimed that she was the victim of the police’s carelessness during the investigation. According to Tammi, it was a major misunderstanding that would have caused the officials’ misunderstanding: “I told them my father was dressed all in white and they thought I was going to say my attacker was dressed all in white.”she remembered.

The investigation prompted investigators to look at security cameras of the bar where Tammi Forsythe had been drinking with his 66-year-old father Philip, the night of the rape. Neither one nor two it is in fact the father of the young victim who was suspected of the rape and then unjustly arrested by the Greek policetwo days after the terrible event: “The police decided from the start that my father was the culprit. They didn’t even bother to find the real culpritshe was outraged.

Greek officials negligent towards tourists?

Happily, the scientific evidence has finally spokenand investigators were able to see that the DNA found on Tammi Forsythe after her rape was not that of her father. The 66-year-old was therefore released by the authorities.s: “Words are not enough to describe how happy we are that this whole story is finally over and we can go home as a family.”she rejoiced.

Tammi Forsythe wanted to break her anonymity to testify. For her, neglected by the Greek authorities the investigation into the rape suffered, because she is a tourist. She claims that the investigation would have been more serious if she had been based in Greece.
