The first Latino evening in the history of the summer festival, for which the Puerto Rican singer himself was impatiently awaiting, could therefore not finish.

The rain began to fall at the end of singer Becky G’s opening act concert.

The rain quickly increased, and after some lightning and thunder, around 9:20 p.m., the organization of the Summer Festival ordered the site to be evacuated.

The other FEQ open-air stages, where Lil Tecca and Gros Mené performed, were also evacuated.

Luis Fonsi suffered the same fate as 2015’s Foo Fighters and 2019’s Imagine Dragons, only he didn’t even have time to sing a single song.

But all was not lost. A few hundred privileged people were dry and dry treated to Fonsi’s performance in the Mange Militaire. However, the show had not yet started at the time of writing this article.

It’s a shame because the evening started well. The young Californian Becky G, a true star of Spanish pop and reggaeton with her songs heard a hundred million times, offered one of the most extravagant opening acts for the FEQ.

After letting her DJ heat up the crowd for about 10 minutes, the 25-year-old artist pulled out all the stops as soon as we saw her DJ to the sound of Fulanito, the first title in the programme. A troupe of energetic dancers, jets of flame and smoke, bright red costumes, exciting rhythms, the audience knew immediately that they would have few opportunities to catch their breath.

Was it the first part of Luis Fonsi or an extension of the electro evening from the previous day? One thing is certain, Colombian DJ Alex Sensation, who doesn’t even have a Wikipedia page yet, kicked off the night with a party from hell.

Alternating house, latin and classic rock hits ranging from LMFAO to Queen to Bad Bunny, Alex Sensation kept his world on alert from start to finish of his performance by creating an all-inclusive vibe on the Plains. The festival-goers near the stage danced and sang at the top of their lungs.

You can hardly ask for more than a warm-up session.
