Buyers of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 in 2023 will be able to cover a few tens of additional kilometers. As expected, the electric compact sedan actually improves its autonomy for the start of its 2023 model year. Hyundai equips the Ioniq 5 with a new battery that unleashes its full potential in the two-wheel drive version.
With a capacity of 77.4 kWh, this new battery pack allows the autonomy of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 to exceed the 500-kilometer mark. At the wheel of the 2023 version of the Hyundai Ioniq 5, according to the manufacturer, no less than 507 kilometers can be traveled on a single charge. This autonomy is only valid with 19″ rims. With 20-inch rims it goes down to 476 kilometers. The new battery is available with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 engines, developing 229 and 325 hp respectively. The base model – which produces 170 hp – is not affected by this development.
