Documentary: new faces

Directed by Brian Desgagné and Christine Doyon, this eight-part documentary series immerses us in the world of the Humankind modeling agency. Led by Marikym Hervieux and Claudine de Repentigny, this Montreal-based company promotes diversity (both physical and cultural) and inclusivity. Fashion has never been a super healthy industry, but if you watch this series you can sense that there is hope. Especially when we hear the discourse of the tandem at the wheel, looking for models that don’t fit into any scheme. If you are looking for a series with lots of drama and skirmishes, new faces it’s not for you We’re far from itAmerica’s Next Top Model. And it is very good.

Author Marc Brunet

Produced in partnership with the National School of Humor, this web series gives comedy writers a voice. In each episode, a screenwriter traces his professional career alone in front of the camera for about twenty minutes. Big names like Martin Matte (The beautiful complaints), Guy A. Lepage (A boy a girl) and Isabelle Langlois (Let go) lend themselves with great generosity to practice. As a guest of the first episode, Marc Brunet reviews his successes (adults and vaccinated, The heart has its reasons, like me) and virus, the worst failure of his career. Hosted by François Massicotte and Mike Bossy, this talk show lasted just one season on TVA in 1993. “She’s a benchmark for a very, very bad comedy show,” Brunet admits to the camera.

Harlequin Collection – My prince is coming for Christmas

No, it’s not a copy-paste of a TV proposal from last December. For the third year in a row, the specialist channel ELLE Fictions is offering a special Christmas program in July, in which films with a strong scent of fir trees are broadcast every evening. A total of 88 feature films full of good feelings will be presented. It starts with Harlequin Collection – My prince is coming for Christmas, which tells the story of a pediatrician who falls in love with a strange prince who broke his leg skiing. Note: The rest will be presented on Tuesday. It marks the arrival of a new character, Princess Miranda. Triangular relationship in sight!
