MLB: Rowdy Tellez pulls out the top game against his ex-club, the Jays beat 10:3

The Toronto Blue Jays lost 10-3 to the Milwaukee Brewers in Sunday’s series finale.

Alejandro Kirk started the game well for the Jays with a three-run homer in the first inning.

However, he was eclipsed by Rowdy Tellez in defeating his former club.

Tellez, who was traded to the Brewers last July, hit the long ball in each of the first two innings to bring his total this season to 13.

Milwaukee scored five goals in the second inning.

The Jays were anticipating George Springer’s return to the lineup. He had a hit on four at bats and scored a run.

The 32-year-old had not played a game since leaving Tuesday’s game against the Chicago White Sox with a right elbow injury.

Springer has remained relatively healthy this season after playing just 78 games in 2021, his first season at Toronto.

He hit .260 and hit 13 homers in 63 games before his injury.
