Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4, a less pronounced crease but still present in the center of the screen

The official presentation was supposed to take place in early August for the new foldable smartphones Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 from Samsung, but a stolen photo clearly shows the folding of the first compared to the previous one and it is still visible.

Samsung was one of the first manufacturers to offer foldable smartphones. The problem with these flexible AMOLED panels is that if the hinge is too closed, a crease becomes visible in the middle when you open it. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 and their predecessors are indeed affected by this small problem that can not only be seen but also felt when you slide your finger over it, making the experience incomplete. Since then, other manufacturers seem to have found a solution, particularly through the use of hinges with a screen that takes the shape of a drop of water at the level of its crease and thus has no visible mark or mark once opened to touch. This is particularly the case with the Oppo Find N, for example.

A less pronounced but still visible crease on the Galaxy Z Fold4’s screen

Early rumors about the Galaxy Z Fold4 suggested that the device would feature a less pronounced fold than the Galaxy Z Fold3. Predictions of a less visible wrinkle of about 20% have been pushed forward. Recently, tipster Ice Universe posted two photos on social network Twitter showing the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Fold3 side by side, taken from the same angle so they can be compared. In fact, in the right image, which corresponds to the new model, we can see that the crease is less pronounced than in the left image. You can still see the crease and you should feel it when you run your finger over it.

Soon the confirmation of its technical data sheet

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 is expected with a slightly improved technical configuration compared to the previous model, with slightly larger screens both inside and outside, and we could count on better quality photo sensors whose productions should be able to match smartphone shots to compete with the Galaxy S22 series. With optimizations in the photo part, it is possible that this model will appeal to a wider audience than the previous ones, even if the price remains high. Samsung expects strong sales growth of its new folding models, which have demanded more units than before. The Galaxy Z Fold4 is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and could pack a 4400mAh battery. We will see if these assumptions are confirmed since August during the official presentation.
