NFT merge currently tops the list of most expensive NFTs sold to date. The dynamic artwork was created by an anonymous digital artist named package.
It was sold on December 6, 2021 for $91.8 million. The Merge was a unique piece of art made up of a global collection for users to purchase. As a split coin, it consisted of 312,686 coins distributed to 28,983 buyers. At the end of the sale, The Merge had grossed $91.8 million, dethroning The First 5000 Days beep to become the most expensive NFT sold to date.
First 5000 days – $69 million
In front The Fusion will not be sold in December 2021, Everyday life: The first 5000 days held the record for selling the most expensive NFT for ten consecutive months. The artwork is by the artist Michael Winkelmann, also known as beep.
Beeple is a famous digital artist in the crypto art community as his work Crossroads ended up being a six figure sale. The work was sold at auction Christies on February 21, 2021 for $69 million. The original bid for the artwork by traditional customers was $100.

This article was created to raise funds for Assange’s legal defence. It was bought by AssangeDAO, a group of people who pooled their money to buy the NFT.
Human One – $29 million
HumanOne is another NFT artwork by Beeple that sold for nearly $29 million. It is a dynamic, life-generating sculpture in which an astronaut walks through changing environments. She was bought by Ryan Zurrer.
Beeple described the artwork as “the first portrait of a human being born in the Metaverse”. In addition, the artist promised to update the work throughout his life so that it never remains static. This means that even though Beeple was sold to Zurrer, it still has remote access to the physical artwork to allow for updates.
CryptoPunk #5822 – $24 million
CryptoPunk number 5822 remains the most expensive CryptoPunk figure sold to date. The character was purchased by the CEO of Chain, Deepak Thaplyalfor $23.7 million on February 12, 2022.
The CryptoPunk series of NFTs has been the most expensive since inception, with over $9 billion in trading volume. CryptoPunk figurine #5822 depicts a blue alien wearing a bandana, and the original owner is reported to have purchased the artwork for less than 1 ETH (roughly $2,000 at the time of writing).
