A former district organizer from Éric Duhaime’s party has been officially charged with mischief for slowing down the COVID-19 vaccination campaign by producing dozens of fake dates last winter.
Our investigative agency revealed at the end of March that Sylvie Paradis, 54, was arrested by Sûreté du Québec after creating around fifty fake appointments on the Clic Santé platform.

This supporter of conspiracy rhetoric appeared officially in Matane on May 10 on three counts of summary judgment.
According to court documents, he is charged with “preventing, disrupting, or preventing Quebecers from lawfully using, enjoying, or exploiting property valued at most $5,000, namely: vaccines.”
He is also accused of defacing computer data and knowingly transmitting false information.
The alleged facts allegedly occurred between December 12, 2021 and January 5, 2022 in Matane and Amqui.
Sylvie Paradis pleaded not guilty. The case will be heard back in court on August 30.
Recall that in December 2021, the 50-year-old revealed the details of her alleged scheme through two publications on the social networking site Facebook.
The resident of Saint-Léandre in Bas-Saint-Laurent then claimed to have made wrong appointments for the “COVID bite”. [sic] » due to incorrect information in the booking forms.
“So that he has the fewest appointments available [sic] “, She wrote.
Sylvie Paradis also made headlines after a complaint was filed with the Sûreté du Québec in connection with another message on Facebook.
Last January, the Fifties responded to the posting of a picture of a submachine gun on a Facebook contact’s page.
In comments, she replied to this contact that he could “go to the Quebec Parliament”.
The lady will not be charged in connection with this case.
Note that Sylvie Paradis has served as vice president of the constituency association of the Quebec Conservative Party in Matane-Matapédia since the beginning of the year.
She has since resigned. The leader of the party, Éric Duhaime, had condemned the actions of this activist, whom he said he did not know personally.
