These 67 departments were placed on alert

Installed in France since 2004, the tiger mosquito has proliferated in our country in recent years. The Ministry of Solidarity and Health issued a press release on Tuesday May 2 to put around sixty French ministries on alert from May to November 2022.

As a vector of diseases such as chikungunya, dengue or the Zika virus, the tiger mosquito has a special appearance with black and white stripes. To avoid this insect smaller than 5mm in size from multiplying in your area, it is recommended to drain stagnant water and tend your garden.

From the point of view of human protection, anyone who faces it is recommended to wear long clothes and use skin protectants to avoid bites.
