It’s always their fault Coach.
How many times have we heard this phrase? The players are playing badly, but that’s down to the coach, like…
Well, on Long Island it is Coach who comes from to count for the team’s difficult 2021-22 season.
#islands News: New York Islanders president and general manager Lou Lamoriello announced today that Barrydios has been relieved of his duties as head coach.

Despite has been the Islanders coach since 2018.
During his four seasons behind the team bench, he was knocked out in the second round, then back in Conference Finals/Third Round two years in a row. All this despite teams not so impressive on paper…
Unfortunately, the magic didn’t work in 2021-22. That islands completed a first season in the UBS Arena (Belmont Park) with a 37-35-10 record good for fifth place in the Metropolitan Division… 16 points behind the Capitals and a playoff berth.
It was GM Lou Lamoriello who showed defiance the door. It was he who brought Defiance to New York shortly after his appointment as Operations President. ice Hockey and CEO of the team. It seems that relationships were strained in the locker room and in the offices … and Lamoriello wanted to bring more offensive hockey to Long Island.
Some chats within the team suggest that the relationship between the manager and some players (and Lou) may have gotten a bit rocky this season.
However, a new system could take advantage of the islands’ offensive play, and I suspect that’s part of the reasoning. https://t.co/K7Oycr8mYH

We do not know what fate awaits the representatives of Defiance at the moment.
What does the future hold for Barrydiot?
He could theoretically bounce back at Sunrise if the Panthers are KO’d by the Capitals in the next few days. Otherwise, he might as well decide to leave Coach at his home in Winnipeg. Let’s assume that the interest in the experienced trainer will be great. As a reminder, the Jets, Flyers and Red Wings do not currently have a head coach, but other coaches could lose their jobs in the coming weeks.
So every available NHL coach has just been knocked down a rung on the coaching ladder.

But there is no rush. He will be paid $4 million next season to stay at home.
And since defiance will be 60 in the summer and already has that trained After 23 years in the NHL (and another eight years in the American League as an assistant or head coach), the latter may choose to pursue a managerial position coaching We could understand that.
Clubs that have vacancies or are considering a move will have Defiance high on their radar. However, some believe that Defiance is also interested in jumping into a leadership role. What is certain is that he will have options to explore. https://t.co/rpOVo0Jocb

Remember that the islanders started their regular season with the longest side trip in NHL history due to unfinished construction on their new home. But hey… Lou Lamoriello never hesitated to fire a coach he no longer liked.
Lou Lamoriello already sacked Claude Julien a week before the end of the regular season when the Devils were at the head of the Atlantic.
He’s really ruthless with his coaches.— Nicolas Cloutier (@NCloutierTVA) May 9, 2022
I’m not sure the Islanders will find a better coach than Barrydiot for next season.
Despite winning the Jack Adams Trophy twice during his career: 2015-16 (Washington) and 2018-19 (Long Island). He also won the Stanley Cup with the caps in 2018.
