Sony’s future noise-cancelling Bluetooth headphones are getting closer. Images of the WH-1000XM5 box have surfaced around the web, confirming several new features.
Sony prepares for arrival WH-1000XM5, a new wireless noise-cancelling headset. Two years after the excellent WH-1000XM4, the manufacturer wants to prove that it remains the master of noise reduction and plans to review its specimen. A leak recently offered us to discover the new design of the headphones, closer to Bose’s Headphones 700. A new twist for the Japanese group that seems to be confirmed if we are to believe the series of photos published on Reddit by u/Chez5160.
The user could take hold of the future helmet, as can be seen in his photos showing a WH-1000XM5 in its packaging. The helmet has not yet been formalized by Sony; however, caution is advised. Nevertheless, the clichés tend to be confirmed the evolution of designthis should gain finesse. Note that this is the same design that was leaked in late April.
The new design is confirmed, but the autonomy would not evolve
The photos of the packaging are also an opportunity to discover some characteristics. That active noise cancellation remains on the agenda, of course, as does the integration of Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. Logically, the support of 360 Reality Audio – technology offered by Sony – remains relevant.
On the other hand, we present a small disappointment regarding the autonomy which would be 30 hours, like the old model. The first rumors were more generous and conjured up clear progress on this important point for a wireless headset. Finally, the WH-1000XM5 would offer 30 hours of listening time with noise reduction and the LDAC codec; or 40 hours with the AAC codec.
Leaks and clues cluster around this new helm. Despite Sony’s silence, the WH-1000XM5 made headlines in February after certification was spotted by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the United States. That is expected Sony communicates quickly about this helmet that aims to succeed one of the benchmarks on the market. As a rule, however, you have to wait until the end of summer to discover the manufacturer’s innovations. The WH-1000XM4 was released in August 2020.
The imminent arrival of the WH-1000XM5 could do the same WH-1000XM4 even more interesting. Still considered one of the best wireless noise canceling headphones you could see its price to fall to prepare the launch of his successor.
