While we were treated to Ryu and Chun-Li last year, followed a few months later by Cammy and Guile, the developers of Fortnite have just announced the two new characters that will be joining the battlefield. To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Capcom-developed franchise, Blanka and Sakura will be available in stores starting April 29th.

As usual, the two fighters come with their accessories, an alternate style, and an emote.

Blanka

For Blanka, his outfit will include an alternate Blanka Delgado style inspired by Boman Delgado from Rival Schools, as well as Blanka’s backflip emote and Blanka-chan back jewelry. The Fortnite developers state that the more kills the player has in a match, the more electrified the item becomes. To have the whole thing, the Tropical Hazard Brochette Pickaxe will also be available in the shop.

sakura

On the side of Sakura’s outfit, she will come with her alternate Sakura Fitness style, inspired by one of her alternate outfits from Street Fighter IV. Just like Blanka, Sakura is entitled to an emote included in the outfit called Sakura’s Victory Dance, as well as to the Hanakazé Catcher back jewelry. The Battle Tournament Trophy Pickaxe and the Kayari Buta Glider must be purchased separately from the outfit.

A cut in two versions

This trophy is entitled to two versions. To deviate a bit from PC and consoles, Fortnite teams are offering a Blanka and Sakura Cup solo on April 27th in Zero Build mode, only on mobile and only on Android. The second competition will take place on April 28 for all platforms, but in Battle Royale mode.

Top players in each region will get the bonus level loading screen.

A trophy on Android

Only Android players have access to this competition, which takes place in zero construction mode. Participating players must collect maximum points in 3 hours or 10 single games to be at the top of the leaderboard.

Regarding the scoring system, each elimination gets 1 point in addition to the points obtained thanks to the position in the leaderboard.
