Decrease in hospital admissions in Quebec

The number of people hospitalized related to COVID-19 has declined in Quebec over the past 24 hours, with 37 fewer patients on Wednesday.

A total of 2,372 Quebecers remain in hospitals related to the virus. In the intensive care unit, two more beds are occupied compared to the day before (92).

Healthcare workers absent for reasons related to COVID-19 are slightly more numerous than the previous day (+98), with 9,514 of them either in preventive withdrawal, isolated or awaiting results.

La Belle province reported 2,066 new cases detected by PCR testing and 487 self-reported positive rapid tests for the day in the past 24 hours. The number of deaths increased by 22 deaths.
